Lexan XL - Storm System - (Case Study)

On March 29th, 1998, a tornado ripped through St. Peter, Minnesota. The destruction and devastation created by this storm left the residents of St. Peter and the state of Minnesota with a new respect for the power of nature.

In 1994, the Church of the Holy Communion in St. Peter had contracted Cathedral Crafts, Inc. to install permanent protective Lexan XL storm system over their 100 year old leaded stained glass windows. After the disaster, the church council realized the importance of that investment. The protected windows remained intact and unharmed.

The breakage of glass on this late 1800's stained glass window was the result of hail stones that were not halted by the external plate glass covering.

Protect your windows with General Electric Lexan XL, a virtually unbreakable clear polycarbonate with a UV-resistant surface.
