In 2017 Cathedral Crafts artists designed and fabricated three new stained glass windows for St Benedict Parish in Decorah, Iowa. The first window is is a rendition of St Benedict, the second is of St Scholastica, and the final window above is a rose window with the Latin inscription “Ora et labora.” The phrase means, “pray and work.” The majority of glass used for these windows is mouthblown colored glass made by the renown glass blowers at Glashutte Lamberts. Our artists and craftsmen, whom are well studied in the many forms & techniques of stained glass design & fabrication, use mouthblown Lamberts glass for the majority of all our new creations. The quality and beauty of lamberts art glass gives a historical elegance to every window we create.
